Band Concert raises more funds for West House Development The August band concerts, funded by the Pinner Association, raised a total of £2,551 for West House,averaging £638 a week. When we collected £842 on 8th August this also pushed up our average to a record - previous highest £561 in 2004. .
Heath Robinson Gallery Open in West House The Gallery of Heath Robinson illustrations is now open from 1pm to 5pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Entrance is via the café in West House and is free. F of West House Raise funds at St George's Day Celebrationriends The Friends of West House raised nearly £200 at their tombola stall as part of the St George's Day celebration in Pinner High Street on 25th April. 
West House Practical Completion The builders formally handed over West House on completion of their work on the interior on 22nd April. Next step is the signing of the 125 years lease of West House by the Trustees . As is stated below the café will open in late May and the grand formal opening is on 20th June to which all are invited. Work on the second floor and the installation of the lift will be completed when a tenant is found and when sufficient funds are available. . . Quiz supper raises funds for West House . The Pinner Association annual Quiz supper, which was held in the Village Hall on 21st November, raised over £1,100 for the West House Appeal, including nearly £400 from the raffle organised by the Friends of West House.
Building Work at pace in West House
. Work began on Monday 17 August to complete phase 1 of the refurbishment of the interior of West House. The work is being carried out by Clairmark, the builders who made such an excellent job of developing the entrance to Pinner Methodist Church. Target date is to have the building open by Easter next year. Shots of the work in progress on the interior in November are below. ; . 
Preventing fouling of West House by pigeons - and seagulls - is proving a challenge. All options are being considered. A visit by a 'Harris Hawker' demonstrated how effective this method of control can be, but it costs! The real solution is to stop feeding the pigeons. This would not only control these pests, but also the rats that now finish off the food not eaten by the pigeons.
