The West House & Heath Robinson Museum Trust,
with the backing of Harrow Council and the William Heath Robinson Trust, is raising funds to restore West House and ultimately construct a purpose-built museum/gallery to display the William Heath Robinson Trust collection.

The fully restored West House will include:
ˇ A museum to display original works by William Heath Robinson
ˇ An art gallery to international standards
ˇ Community/Education/Function rooms
ˇ Space for historical archives
ˇ Educational facilities
ˇ A café and museum shop
ˇ A quiet area where the Pinner Books of Remembrance can be seen.

The work will be done in Phases.
- Phase 1, to restore the external fabric of West House, has been completed.
- Phase 2 will fit out the restored shell, beginning with the Ground and First floors. This will include a  gallery of William Heath Robinson's works.
- Phase 3 will fit out the Second floor
- Phase 4 will re-build the old Harness Room and fit out the out-buildings for storage
- Phase 5 will be to build the new gallery and museum in the footprint of the old house.

Outline Plans for the restoration and development were originally drawn up by Richard Griffiths. The lead architect on that project was Ptolemy Dean who appeared in the BBC2 TV series "Restoration". When sufficient funding became available to make a start, a new firm of Architects -Cotterell, Thomas & Thomas - was appointed to take the project forward in stages and architect Janet Cotterell obtained full planning permission for her redesign of Phase 1 to 4 in October 2006. For more details about the project's progress see 'News'.
